Prevention

I had an interesting and touching conversation with Dr. Foster today. We were making a video about the product he helped formulate, Insul Opt. I asked him why he decided to develop an all-natural supplement for diabetics. He said his life changed when his then 8-year old daughter was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes.
I asked Dr. Foster what it was like to have a small child with diabetes. He said it scared him S—less. As he talked about the reality of parenting a child with diabetes, he got very choked up. Now, he’s had five years to deal with being the parent of a diabetic, and it stills brings tears to his eyes to talk about it in an open and honest way.
On a personal level, I told him that I could handle managing my own type 1 diabetes, but that it terrified me to think of my own 2-year old daughter having diabetes. I just cannot fathom the intense worry of helping a toddler, young child or teenager manage their ever-changing bodies and trying to regulate their blood sugars at the same time. To all you parents dealing with this on a daily basis: god bless you!
He suggested that rather than live in fear, I should take a preventive approach to her health and immune system. She’s too young now, but in a year or so, I can start her on Insul Opt to make sure her pancreas and endocrine system is getting as much support as possible. He also mentioned a Colostrum spray that will help beef up her immune system, which is a welcomed suggestion since she is in daycare and exposed to a lot of contagious infections.
Also, both of my husband’s parents have type-2 diabetes, so it is also a good idea for him to take a proactively preventive approach to his own health so that he can beat diabetes before it ever sinks its ugly little fangs into him.
