Lots and Lots of Lows

Since my EECP treatment 8 days ago, I’ve had more lows than I can count. Most of them have been in the 40’s. Part of me feels like this is a good thing, and part of me remembers being told that the danger associated with frequent lows is a loss in the ability to feel low, and a greater risk of passing out or seizures. Fun stuff!
As I mentioned in an earlier post, even before the EECP treatment, after just a month of taking INSUL-OPT Complete, my fasting blood sugars had dropped by an average of 60 points. So I’m actually not sure if the new frequency of lows can be attributed to the EECP treatment, or if they are a result of INSUL-OPT.
I haven’t been feeling all that bad when my sugar dips down to the 40’s. More often than not when it’s happened, I’ve been alone with my 2-year old daughter, which is frightening. I flashback to old Oprah shows where little girls save their mothers’ lives by calling 911 when the moms pass out from hypoglycemia, or when a young girl takes control of the car as her mother passes out from low blood sugar. Maybe part of me romanticizes that kind of heroic story, but most of me shudders at the thought…
I think the “takeaway” from this past week of lows is that I should probably adjust my basal (background) insulin levels, and admit that the INSUL-OPT is working. Hopefully that will save me the scare of having hypoglycemia with a toddler in tow. And although there are dangers associated with having lows, I’m much happier going low more often than going high!
If you are diabetic or at risk, then you should really give INSUL-OPT a try. You have absolutely nothing to lose. They have a $1 trial offer, and always include a bottle of diabetes multi-vitamins with each supply of INSUL-OPT. Click here and give it a try today: herbal supplements for diabetics
